Robert S. Winner is a Partner in the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  As a member of the firm’s Corporate department, Mr. Winner focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate and project finance, venture capital, private securities offerings and general commercial transactions.

Mr. Winner has more than 15 years of transactional experience working with both startups and Fortune 500 companies.  He has spent an increasing amount of time representing energy and clean technologies companies, with a focus on both traditional energy, including oil and gas exploration and production assets, and renewable energy, including biofuels and waste to energy projects.   As a result, his experience extends to beyond general Corporate and M&A practices to negotiating and drafting engineering, procurement and construction contracts, power purchase and equipment procurement agreements, technology licenses, energy supply contracts and feedstock agreements.

Mr. Winner is affiliated with the Chicago Clean Energy Alliance.  He received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law (1997), where he was Editor-in-Chief of the DePaul Business Law Journal, and received his B.A. from Washington University (1994).
